Shake off any winter blues you may be feeling this February by trying out these fun activities in the Bakken! The region has prepared an intimate dancing session with your kids and lots of fun activities for everyone to enjoy . So get active, get outdoors and have a blast this month with your family and friends!
1. Mom Son Date Night
Age: 2-12 years
Fee: $40 a couple / $20 siblings
Date: February 10th
Days: Friday
Times: 6:00 pm -8:00 pm
Location: Raymond Family Community Center
Dads don't get to have all the fun! Please register under your son’s name. This is a couple themed dress-up party, where they can dress up like a prince and princess, Harley riders, Super Heroes, athletes, or anything else they choose.
Everyone will enjoy a light dinner, beverages, and treats while playing some games and sharing the dance floor. Additional sons are only $10.00 to register. Don't miss out on all the fun!
2. Fairy Gardening with Handy Andy Nursery
Unleash your creativity and let your imagination flow! In this workshop, the focus of the presentation will be about the concepts of miniature, terrarium, and Fairy Gardening. It will also tackle the care and design of these various tabletop creations.
The registration fee for this workshop will cover the soil and basic materials needed to make the project. It includes:
Two plants (from a selection)
One fairy figurine (value to not exceed 10$)
Terrarium Bar: With materials such as mosses, barks, rock, sand, etc. useful to accessorize the project.
Additional items will be made available such as Container choice figurines, etc. at an additional charge on a per student basis.
3. Giving Hearts Day
Giving Hearts Day is a 24-hour long fundraising event for charities in North Dakota and northwest Minnesota.
The Williston Parks and Recreation District and the Williston Parks and Recreation Foundation are raising money to purchase shades in the Western Star "Play 4 All" Park for families to enjoy!
The more money we raise, the more shade that can be added to other parks in Williston, North Dakota!

4. Daddy-Daughter Dance
Daddy Daughter Dances will be on Saturday, February 11th!
Location: Raymond Family Community Center
Fathers, uncles, brothers, and grandpas are all invited to join their daughters for a night of fun and dancing at this formal dance. Moms are invited to watch the Grand March, but will be asked to leave after that so the Daddy/Daughter Dance can continue. There will be food, drinks, music, dancing, games, and a few craft surprises.
The Social will start on time, depending on the dance event, and the Grand March will begin 30 minutes after the Social.
5. Fairy Gardening with Handy Andy Nursery
This program is designed to help develop tennis skills and build a strong foundation for becoming a competitive and successful tennis player. Tennis lessons will be held at the ARC Tennis Courts.
Ages: 3-12 yrs
Dates:S2 Feb 18th - March 11th
Fee: $31.00
Days: Saturdays
Location: Williston ARC Tennis Courts
Players will be equipped with the necessary skills and confidence to perform their best on the court through comprehensive teaching methods and targeted drills.
